Roker Roar suffer a heavy defeat.

Downhill Impact 4 Roker Roar 0.
Despite having Rikki Kennedy, who showed his age and lack of fitness with a poor performance, Downhill were lucky to have Jimmy Raeper aboard, and he destroyed the Roar, with a superb second half performance. Roker Roar had limited Downhill to a single goal, carrying on their stubborn performances from the last two games (both wins), but a penalty given away saw them collapse.

Seaburn Soca 2 Redhouse Storm 1.
Just as Brook Dickens was heading for the chop; the first managerial casualty of the season, a missed penalty and then an excellent long range effort saw his team take the lead against the Redhouse Storm. Eventually, after a tough battle, they managed to take their first three points.

Thanks to Dan Campbell for refereeing this game.

Sassco.co.uk 3 Redhouse Rockets 1.
Sassco, wearing an uncomfortable Umbro made England top, made an uncomfortable start as they were swamped by the Rockets – who were coming into the came on the back of a win against their fierce rivals, Seaburn Soca. Struggling to find their feet, Sassco managed to score an equaliser against the run of play and eventually struck a second goal in the second half. Breathing space was achieved when Stevie Weavie Borat hammered home the third and decisive goal.

Thanks to Brian Marley for refereeing this game.

Rockets are shocked by a Roker winner.

Bunker's first win in the competition in contrast to Seaburn's three defeats.

Redhouse Fusion 7 Sassco.co.uk 2.
Sassco were brimming with confidence, having added Stevie Weavie Borat and Thomas and Teeb to the team from the ashes of the long forgotten WWC team. Another added bonus was the Muers was missing. However, Fusion dominated and struck after a few near misses. Amazingly, Sassco equalised with Garrett firing past the hapless Dinning. Eventually, Fusion’s attacking prowess easily took Sassco apart with further goals.

Roker Roar 1 Redhouse Rockets 0.
Rockets were another team brimming with hope of three points against the newcomers, Roker, who were defeated last week. The game wore on, with both sides firing blanks and both ‘keepers making saves, before a genuine roar welcomed Roker’s late goal. An unlikely result.

Bunker UK 3 Seaburn Soca 1.
Bunker cruised to a win over Seaburn. That’s three games without a win for Seaburn who have hit rock bottom. On the other side, this was the Bunker’s first win in the competition.

Campbell’s heroics for Impact.

Downhill Impact 6 Sassco.co.uk 1.
Another disaster from Sassco as Downhill easily out ran them and took a commanding lead.

WWC 1 Redhouse Fusion 0.
A preview of the major play off next week, as WWC scored the only goal of the game to take a win, despite finishing the league on a good few points behind Fusion.

Sangha puts Sassco 3 points ahead. That’s all that matters.

Dream team: Hembrough, Sangha, McDermont, Greenwell, Stokoe, Dunston, Simpson, Smith.

Well would you believe it? Expecting a hammering, the brave Sassco bunch: Dave Smith, Dave Simpson, Mark Muers, Marc McDermont, myself (Davinder Sangha), plus Scott Hembrough, Paul “Tyson” Stokoe and the ever-reliable Wayne Greenwell, were holding out at 0-0, until I was placed clear outside the area to spring in a three pointer. It’s rare you hear the words, “Sangha grabs three for Sassco…”

Spectacular action during the game.

Playing basketball was madness against an amateur, but genuine team, and, for once, it wasn’t my idea, it was Alan Hoyle’s idea, who runs Sassco Knightflyers. We’re returning the favour with an 11-a-side game in mid-June as well. A lot of people were interested in the basketball game, but I was pissed off that we had drop outs and expected only six there. It’s rare we can set events like this up, so if someone says they are okay for it, I expect them to. Not half-hearted replies. But, lucky for us, Tyson and Greenwell managed to bundle themselves along. Greenwell turned up for the cheerleaders, but I didn’t tell the pervert that they were aged between five and eight years old. He was gutted and decided to get kitted for the game. We were actually wearing the tops we are due to wear in Spain in October. I hastily heat glued the badges on, but Tyson’s came off as he cannot show any loyalty to Sassco.

Back to the game: After the opener, Simpson managed to get two points, but Knightflyers broke clear and secured more points. In the meanwhile, Tyson, with his own running commentary, managed to get points. Emu got a couple of three pointers, while Greenwell also did the same. Scotty H’s two points were the best. A sort of “back heel” with his hands. Macca got points, but threw the ball like a girl. I don’t think Dave Smith did as he was firing blanks.

It was confusing a bit. Shouts of “Muers, get your f**king foot through it!” as well as “Back post! Back post!” but overall it was astonishingly enjoyable. Looks like we know what sport we’ll take up when we all get banned.

The final score was 49 to Knightflyers and 29 to Sassco. Very impressive.

Thunder still on top, but Fusion closing in.

Wear Consulting 3 Hendon Rovers 0 match awarded
Hendon Rovers were unable to field a team, so Wear Consulting received the three points. Hendon are fined £15 and deducted three points.

Wear Consulting 2 Sassco.co.uk 1
Both teams were missing key players. Wear Consulting didn’t have Tyzack, but could call on a reasonably strong team. They opened the scoring with a goal from long range. The second half saw Sassco capitalise on an error and Cresswell equalised. But, with around five minutes remaining, an error from Sassco allowed Wear Consulting to score the eventual winner. In the dying seconds, Cresswell saw his shot saved by Kevin Cooper to give Wear the three points.

WWC 3 Downhill Impact 1
A new start for Downhill Impact, as Mickey Pearson took control of the the team. The line up was the same as you’d expect from Downhill, but the first half was a strong performance, as Anth Pearson put Kev McCluskey through to score against WWC (without Tommy Bell). However, normal service was resumed and WWC ran out 3-1 winners.

Downhill Impact 1 IPS 0

As expected, Redhouse Stars failed to show. If anyone is aware of a team out there ready to take over, then please contact us.

Thanks go to Downhill – who were on stand by. The tired team actually looked fresher and an opener from the prolific Kevin McCluskey wasn’t replied to. IPS surprisingly didn’t equalise despite the goal coming early on. A great win for Downhill.

Redhouse Fusion 6 Sassco.co.uk 1

Ironically, Sassco opened the scoring when Wayne Greenwell opened the scoring. Fusion were rattled, but a long range screamer from Josh Lay (his words not mine) settled the current Champions and they quickly added more goals. Kurt got the other goal, but Bullet Skull Wooton scored a staggering four goals. Fusion are now closing in on Thunder and have a game in hand.

Tyson, Richardson and Mouat are dismissed in Town End’s 2-0 win.

One more team was added to the League to take the total up to a healthy nine teams. Darren Duggan returns to the League with his Redhouse Stars teams. More information is shown below. The photos were taken by Davinder Sangha and Dan Campbell.

Just like old times as Steve Borat Anderson races through past Pearson and Taylor

WWC FC 4 Downhill Impact 0
Downhill Impact are a team which have been hastily put together and you could tell from their capitulation against WWC FC. Tommy Bell’s side were smarting from a defeat last week and produced a much stronger outfit this week. Steve “Borat” Anderson came in and made all the difference. It was massed defending from Downhill, but once the first went in – it was game over and damage limitation. Two goals either side of the half saw Bell’s team take their first points.

It's a goal! Duggan's Stars receive a rude awakening off Redhouse Fusion in a 4-0 defeat.

Redhouse Fusion 4 Redhouse Stars 0
It was a long awaited return from Darren Duggan as he put together the ninth team in the Tuesday League. An excellent addition as we now have a good set of enthusiastic sides. Unfortunately for Duggan it ended in a heavy defeat. His side, which contained Joe Middleton (who played in the League in the early seasons) couldn’t have faced a more stronger opponent in Redhouse Fusion. An early goal set the pace of the game and the eventual 4-0 win for the favourites and current Champions was expected.

Tyson in the headlines again as he's sent off. Despite this, Town End held on to their 2-0 lead.

Town End Thunder 2 Wear Consulting 0
Wear Consulting were hampered by the lack of Tyzack, but did welcome the return of Keith Mouat. However, by the end of the game he was off in disgrace and Wear Consulting were 2-0 down. Tyson also got dismissed along with Liam Richardson, but the four men of Town End held on to gain an important win. The likes of Hendon, Town End, IPS, Wear and Sassco also seem like for like, so wins and points taken off each other will be critical.

Puffed cheeks from Muers as Lee Ramsay gives him a torrid time in Hendon's 3-2 win over Sassco.

Hendon Rovers 3 Sassco.co.uk
A rampant Hendon team counterattacked and put Sassco to the sword. An early thunderbolt from Lee Ramsay wasn’t replied to in the first half. Despite a tremendous amount of chances (most hit wide), Sassco failed to make in impact and the sucker punch came when Dickie Hall fired in the second. Lee Ramsay struck from distance again to take Hendon up by three goals. Sassco then made a comeback in the last five minutes with two goals from Muers and Richardson, but it was too late. A great start from Hendon.

The final set of games for the AGUK Super League take place on Tuesday 23rd to decide the Semi Finalists. Both Sassco and Hendon will most likely be joining them, however, Wear Consulting, who are at the foot of the table, still have an outside chance. They definitely need a win from one of their games against AA and Sassco. This would mean that IPS really need a point to be almost sure, but their opponents are AA Fabrications, so a defeat is likely – as long as they don’t concede too many goals.

If Wear win both their games, then it’s down to goal difference, with Hendon the likely losers. If IPS defeat AA Fabrications, then that means all the teams below AA would have six points.

The semi final line up on the 30th June is 1st v 4th place and 2nd v 3rd place. It’s likely that the final game will also be played on the same night around 8:15pm.
