Team changes.

A number of teams have struggled in past weeks and are in the process of being replaced. The ones named are Fusion, Soca and Roar.

Seaburn Soca (Wear Consulting) 2 Roker Roar (Bunker) 0.
Both Seaburn and Roker have been removed from the league, mainly due to unreliability. In place came Wear Consulting, a previous entrant from a few seasons ago and Roker were represented by Bunker. Wear will eventually take over Redhouse Fusion and it’s likely we’ll have a four team Semi Final play off to decide the finalists (all on one night).

Redhouse Rockets 3 Soul Cal 3.
Last time out, Rockets conceded five goals against Sassco but still won the game. This time against Soul Cal, they conceded three but couldn’t get the three points as Soul Cal cancelled them out.

Soul Cal 5 Redhouse Storm 2.
A fiery game. Soul Cal had one player “sin binned”, but still managed to run out winners in a successful night.

Seaburn trounce Sassco.

Seaburn Soca 3 Sassco.co.uk 0.
The second headline says it all. Seaburn easily beat an almost completely different looking Sassco side in the opening game. Sassco had the veteran Gav Kershaw to thank in keeping the score down. Thanks to Kurt Richardson for refereeing.

BunkerUK 2 Redhouse Storm 1.
Staples received the abuse as Harry Pattinson’s Redhouse Storm picked up the pieces from Daimon’s disastrous reign to put in an accomplished performance. However, it was two goals late in each half which gave Bunker the win. Thanks to Brian Marley for refereeing.

Roker Roar 1 Soul Cal 1.
One of the best games of the night saw Roker Roar rifle in an opening shot and goal against a full Soul Cal team. It was late on when Brian Marley hit the equaliser, but the scoring ended there.

Downhill Impact 4 Redhouse Rockets 1.
Downhill Impact hit the “long balls” according to referee, Danni Lay to out-muscle Roker Rockets. A 4-1 scoreline saw the increasingly overweight Callum Howe fire in some spectacular goals, which were not too different from those scored by his idol, Mark Muers. Thanks to Danni Lay for a memorable refereeing performance.

Downhill cancel out Fusion.

After two missing weeks, I’ve come back to missing kits and teams suffering shortages forcing players from other teams to play for them.

Sassco.co.uk 4 Roker Roar 1.
Sassco had a comfortable win over Roker. Tommy Bell opened the scoring and a star-studded performance from Teeb ensured that, after a two week break, Sassco kept on going with three points.

Seaburn Soca 5 Redhouse Storm 3.
Almost all of the Storm team were stand-in’s, so the result was no surprise. Soca raced into a 3-0 lead, but nearly got pegged back, and at 4-3, the game was wide open. Eventually, Soca secured the winner near the end.

Storm have a suspended £5 fine for wrong kit. This means that the next time they don’t wear the correct kit, they have to pay a fine.

Soul Cal 4 BunkerUK 2.
Too many “ringers” for Soul Cal means that the game will be replayed at a later date. Obviously all teams seemed to be struggling due to midweek 11-a-side games and work shifts, but Soul Cal had half a team out. The result will stand in the records until the “proper” game is played.

Soul Cal have a suspended £5 fine for wrong kit. This means that the next time they don’t wear the correct kit, they have to pay a fine.

Redhouse Fusion 0 Downhill Impact 0.
The first shut-out for Fusion. They barely had a decent shot on target all game as the mass defending from Downhill worked perfectly.

Seaburn win again. Soul Cal’s impressive debut. Downhill’s steady progress.

Action from the Bunker - Downhill game.

Pleased to say that the Tuesday League is thriving. From a low number of teams back when last season ended, to a total of nine well organised and enthusiastic sides.

Downhill Impact 4 Bunker UK 0.
Another impressive win for Downhill as they took Bunker apart in a strong second half. Dan Campbell’s chipped goal being the highlight. We nearly had another highlight when Campbell thought he’d lost his phone…again. Bunker had a glorious chance to equalise in the second half, but the shot was fired straight into Pearson’s midriff.

Redhouse Rockets 6 Redhouse Storm 0.
The Storm were fully kitted with an impressive new outfit, but suffered badly as the Rockets took them apart, with a scintillating performance.

Seaburn Soca 2 Roker Roar 1.
Joey Judson and Glen Hildrew were pumped up on Tic-Tacs and full-fat Coca Cola before the game and tore around the pitch to give their previously under pressure manager, Brook Dickens, more breathing space with goals in Soca’s second consecutive win. Roker Roar did managed to score, but Soca were too good in the end.

Sassco.co.uk 1 Soul Cal 1.
“How the f**k did he score from there?” were Sangha’s words as one of his ex-players, Brian Marley, pirouetted between two players like the finest ballerina, to fire in an equaliser for the new team, Soul Cal. The team were made up of the core of the old Bunker side from a few years back. Sassco had the better chances in the game, but only scored late in the second half. The equaliser came in the last few minutes.

Roker Roar suffer a heavy defeat.

Downhill Impact 4 Roker Roar 0.
Despite having Rikki Kennedy, who showed his age and lack of fitness with a poor performance, Downhill were lucky to have Jimmy Raeper aboard, and he destroyed the Roar, with a superb second half performance. Roker Roar had limited Downhill to a single goal, carrying on their stubborn performances from the last two games (both wins), but a penalty given away saw them collapse.

Seaburn Soca 2 Redhouse Storm 1.
Just as Brook Dickens was heading for the chop; the first managerial casualty of the season, a missed penalty and then an excellent long range effort saw his team take the lead against the Redhouse Storm. Eventually, after a tough battle, they managed to take their first three points.

Thanks to Dan Campbell for refereeing this game.

Sassco.co.uk 3 Redhouse Rockets 1.
Sassco, wearing an uncomfortable Umbro made England top, made an uncomfortable start as they were swamped by the Rockets – who were coming into the came on the back of a win against their fierce rivals, Seaburn Soca. Struggling to find their feet, Sassco managed to score an equaliser against the run of play and eventually struck a second goal in the second half. Breathing space was achieved when Stevie Weavie Borat hammered home the third and decisive goal.

Thanks to Brian Marley for refereeing this game.

Redhouse Storm’s debut ends in a defeat.

Sassco.co.uk 4 Bunker UK 0.
Sassco comfortably defeated Bunker with two goals from Bell and two from Muers. The first half was 1-0 and there were opportunities for Bunker to equalise. Once the second goal went in, Sassco had plenty of chances, while Simpson made some excellent stops to make sure his team kept a clean sheet.

Roker Roar 1 Redhouse Storm 0.
A debut for the new side, Storm, in similar conditions, as the rain hurtled down. Roker Roar, who sprung to life in last weeks surprise 1-0 over Rockets, did the same this week. Storm dominated the game, but in their only chance of the first half, Roar fired in the only goal.

Redhouse Rockets 3 Seaburn Soca 2.
The best game of the night saw Rockets take the lead, but Seaburn replied and then scored what seemed to be the winner. However, with time running out and the rain not letting up, Rockets equalised and then struck soon after to take the win.

Debut defeat for Roker Roar.

Downhill Impact 3 Redhouse Rockets 2.
An impressive and singular performance from David “Jimmy” Raeper saw Downhill Impact reverse a one-goal deficit to eventually win 3-2 against a strong Rockets team. Impact took a 2-1 lead, before Rockets pegged it back to 2-2. Eventually, Raeper deftly scored the winner.

Redhouse Fusion 11 Seaburn Soca 0.
A rude awakening for Seaburn Soca. A defeat off Sassco last week was narrow, but this time, they faced the rampant Fusion, a team who have a penchant for hammering goals past new teams.

Sassco.co.uk 4 Roker Roar 0.
Sassco were toying with the debut team, Roker, after taking a 1-0 lead, but soon received a shock when Tommy Bell (on his debut for Sassco) was “megged” and it was 1-1. Normal service resumed when another debutante, Steve “Borat” Anderson, struck to make it 2-1. Both Borat and Bell made Muers look good and Sassco secured a 4-1 lead and win.

New team, Seaburn Soca, suffer against Sassco.

Ken Street's patience with Danni Lay is running short.

Redhouse Fusion 7 Bunker UK 0.
Fusion took their time to open the scoring against the Bunker, but once they did, they looked unstoppable. When the second goal went in, the flood gates opened and Bunker suffered their heaviest defeat to date.

Sassco.co.uk 3 Seaburn Soca 1.
The new team came out of the blocks rapidly against an ageing and creaking Sassco side, which boasted veterans such as “Teeb” Farrer, Thomas Bell and Mark Muers. Soca scored first, with a solid shot through Simpson, but Sassco came back strongly and raced into a one goal lead, with two goals at their either side of the half. Late on, despite some immense pressure, which should have led to a Soca equaliser, Muers, for Sassco, liberated the team with the third and decisive goal.
