Redhouse Fusion failed to inform the league by the Friday deadline about the Tuesday fixture, so therefore were removed from the League. All the games they played in were declared null and void. This has changed the table quite a bit, so it’s been decided that the top four teams will take part in a play-off to decide the winner on the 15th February.

The following final league games, however, will take place on 8th February.

After these games have decided table positions, first will play fourth in the table at 7:00pm on the 15th February, while second will play third on the same day at 7:30pm. The winners will play each other at 8:00pm to decide Season 16’s Champion.

Season 15 kicks off on the 2nd February. Unfortunately, only four teams will be taking part, but as with most seasons which started with a lack of teams; new teams tend to come in once it’s started.

Sassco.co.uk play Downhill Impact at 7:00pm, while Tommy Bell’s WWC team (to be renamed) will be playing the Champions, Redhouse Fusion at 7:30pm. The short season will see teams playing each other four times, and then the top two in the League, playing off against each other to decide the League winner. If more teams are added, then the format would probably change to a standard league format.

Sassco have been invited, and are likely to take part (in some form or another) in a training experiment involving Newcastle Science City (http://www.newcastlesciencecity.com).

Eric Foch, Lead Innovater, contacted us regarding a “project offering video support to amateurs sportsmen and women, for fun or for training purposes.” The prototype will run in February or March. It will be directly pluggable to the Internet, which makes it compatible with the way Sassco.co.uk use the website as a focal point of every activity we do (which is why were were contacted).

I have already described the make up of the team, notably Mark Muers, and it seems the project will be able to help him to improve his fitness.
