Team Coulson defeated.

Redhouse Fusion, back with the trophy.

Redhouse Fusion 3 Team Coulson 1.

A full-strength Fusion team were held at bay by a dogged Team Coulson throughout the final game of the Season 17 mini-tournament. With Redhouse FC out of the competition (deleted!), it was winner takes all, with both teams looking strong.

Fusion hit first, but eventually, Team Coulson tested the opposing 'keeper and scored with one of their first shots on target. It was 1-1 in the first half, but opened up in the second, when Fusion made it 2-1. Eventually, as Team Coulson pressed on to take the game to penalties, Fusion struck back to make it 3-1 and earned some breathing space. The rest of the game petered out with Fusion having the majority of the shooting chances.

A good little opening tournament. Disappointed Redhouse FC failed to cross the finish line, but the plan is to have a set of match days with all three teams playing each other over three to four weeks.
