Preparations for Cyprus in 2019.
The squad isn’t getting any younger, but the enthusiasm is still there.
Five souls have signed on and confirmed with flights to Cyprus in March. Chris Dixon, Mike Baxter (who returns on tour after Switzerland 2016), Dave Gourlay, Tim Gillespie and Davinder Sangha will all be travelling to Paphos on the 27th March and returning on the 31st March.
Two opponents have already been confirmed, with Paphos Warriors and St. Georges FC ready to play us.
It’s a possibility that this could be the final tour. Sassco were originally ready for Cyprus back in 2007, but only had 10 confirmed, when we were looking for 11-a-side. Since then, we headed west to the USA and a lifelong ambition of playing in Israel happened last year. Plus we are really not getting any younger.
