Sassco failed to qualify for the Round of 16, in a disappointing day.

The opening game saw Simon Maw strike to take a late lead, but two quick goals in succession saw the team suffer a 2-1 defeat. Side was Liam Liddle in goal, with Sangha, Maw, Connor Llewellyn and Mike Baxter.

The second game saw Sangha in goal with Mark Turnbull starting for Llewellyn. The game was tight and despite Liddle having some good chances up front, and Sangha making three important stops at the back, the game petered out into a 0-0 draw.

One of the teams in the group failed to show, so instead of increasing our game time, the team were left standing to watch the other two teams in the group ease a 0-0 draw, as they both knew they were through.

It was for charity, but it was poorly organised from our point of view. No communcation and not group team meeting for each group.
