Even Sangha scores!
WWC FC 5 Downhill Impact* 2.
Downhill Impact were temporarily “replaced” by Conor Staples’ new team. Their opponents were WWC, who while smarting from a surprise defeat last week, were looking to get back amongst it. They did immediately when Sangha, guesting for WWC smacked a clearance off an Impact player which saw the deflection hit the back of the net. WWC sprung into life and the ageing Brazier finally put some effort into it and secured his first hat-trick since 1991. Sangha even brought down a ball perfectly and poked it into the far corner, much to Danni Lay (from Redhouse Fusion’s) disgust.
*Conor Staples’ team will be joining in full for the following season.
Redhouse Fusion 6 Sassco.co.uk 1.
It was backs to the wall for Sassco, but nothing much happened as they conceded six goals in the opening half. Josh Lay usurped his brother, Danni, with a hat-trick. Danni spent the rest of the game attempting to chip the ball over the impressive Simpson, but failed. Liam Wooton wasn’t there, and it’s obvious that he’d have easily chipped a goal in as pound for pound, he’s a much better player than Danni.
