All four teams returned to the March Tournament, with Sassco doing what they normally do as current holders: turning up with high hopes, but finishing rock bottom, with only two draws and four defeats.
This meant it was between Durham and South Shields, and despite Durhams last game win over South Shields, the latter had won all their games while Durham had drawn two games and lost an earlier encounter with South Shields.
This meant that with five wins and only one loss, South Shields fully deserved the title, finally accomplishing the task after a participating a few times in the tournaments..
Boca came 3rd with a draw against Durham and Sassco, plus a last game win over Sassco in their second encounter.
