Our first overseas guests?
Not 100% confirmed, but Knattspyrnufélagið Þróttur, a semi-professional side which defeated Sassco in the Iceland Tour 2017 in one game (Sassco won the other) are looking to travel to the UK and play at the Stadium of Light.
This is part of the Sunderland AFC Play on the Pitch event and Þróttur will be contributing their own payment.
The match is scheduled for the 17th May 2018 at 7:00pm. This forms a busy May for Sassco, as the team are touring Israel from the 10th to 14th and hopefully will live long enough to get back.
Sassco have played there in 2016 and 2017, with a win in 2017 as shown below:
